Snort: não é possível abrir o arquivo de regras

Este é o meu primeiro com snort. E eu não consigo fazer isso acontecer. Eu segui este tutorial exatamente. E eu tenho fedora 21 .

O problema está no final do log. Não parece ser sério, mas não consigo entender. Aqui está a seção que eu editei em snort.conf :

A regra que acredito está causando o problema:

include $RULE_PATH/app-detect.rules

Eu editei as variáveis de caminho para torná-las relativas:

var RULE_PATH rules
var SO_RULE_PATH so_rules
var PREPROC_RULE_PATH preproc_rules

e baixaram as regras , extraíram-nas para /etc/snort/rules/ e agora funciona.

/etc/snort//etc/snort/

Essa é uma configuração de caminho duplo, isto é, o que há de errado com o firewall do Snort.

• Tente verificar se há um duplo $ RULE_PATH ou tente excluir o / etc / snort / se não for uma variável global.

Uma opção que você pode tentar é comentar os caminhos para as regras que causam problemas. Comentar a linha que contém o aplicativo detect.rules fará com que, quando você executar o snort, o erro seja alterado e se referirá a outro caminho da regra. Você pode comentar tudo manualmente adicionando "#" na frente ou usando esta linha de código:

sudo sed -i "s/include \$RULE\_PATH/#include \$RULE\_PATH/" /etc/snort/snort.conf
