Configurando o OpenLDAP e o SSL

Estou tendo problemas para tentar se conectar a um servidor OpenLDAP seguro que eu configurei. Ao executar meu código do cliente LDAP

Eu consigo conectar-me ao mesmo servidor LDAP seguro, no entanto, se eu usar outra versão do java (1.6.0_14)

Eu criei e instalei os certificados do servidor nos cacerts de ambos os JRE, conforme mencionado neste guia - > OpenLDAP com SSL

Quando executo ldapsearch -x no servidor, obtenho

Por que é que posso me conectar ao mesmo servidor usando uma versão do JRE, enquanto não consigo com outro?

Corrigido o problema. O problema estava surgindo porque os CipherSuites que estavam sendo enviados pelo JRE (versão 1.6.0_17) não combinavam com os CipherSuites aceitos pelo servidor.

O slapd.conf do servidor continha a linha

TLSCipherSuite TLS_RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA

enquanto esse cliente Java em particular estava enviando um conjunto de conjuntos que incluía TLS_RSA_AES_128_CBC_SHA . O problema foi resolvido simplesmente comentando a linha acima mencionada no slapd.conf. A confusão foi porque o servidor retornou uma exceção EOF quando o problema estava invocando o CipherSuites.

No entanto, o

JRE (versão 1.6.0_14) estava enviando TLS_RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA como parte dos CipherSuites que estava aceitando e, portanto, o mesmo código funcionava com esta versão.
