Configure SSL e HTTP no nginx com o Rails 3.2

Question

Eu olhei alguns exemplos, mas eu realmente não consigo entender porque o ssl não funciona. Minha situação:

Primeiro de tudo, eu tenho um aplicativo de trilhos com o passageiro, o aplicativo normal funciona com nginx, não há problema lá. Eu gostaria de adicionar suporte a SSL em alguns caminhos (por exemplo / admin ou / config). Eu mesmo assinei meu certificado porque o url será usado por um aplicativo Android para enviar dados seguros para o servidor, essa é a única razão pela qual eu preciso de suporte SSL.

Pelo que entendi é que eu deveria ativar HTTP e HTTPS no nginx e deixar o aplicativo rails decidir se usar HTTP ou HTTPS (corrija-me se estiver errado). Então, como minha configuração nginx deve permitir HTTPS e HTTP no mesmo endereço IP? Eu usei o seguinte comando para gerar meus certificados:

Agora eu não sei se este é o caminho certo para fazer isso, qualquer ajuda sobre isso também seria bem-vinda:)

Havia um firewall fazendo coisas malucas, agora eu posso usar https mas eu encontro em meus logs os seguintes erros:

Tudo o que você precisa é de um segundo bloco server { configurado para SSL na porta 443.

Você desejará uma diretiva listen 443 ssl; e diretivas apontando para suas chaves públicas e privadas; ssl_certificate /path/to/webserver-cert.pem; e ssl_certificate_key /path/to/webserver-key.pem; .
