adaptador host vs bios

Question

Recentemente eu tive que criar um ataque 10 a partir de 32 discos usando o cartão RAID de hardware LSI 3108. Mas depois de criar as unidades virtuais e inicializá-las, recebi essa mensagem no prompt de inicialização,

"2 unidade virtual manipulada pelo adaptador host" "0 drive virtual manipulado pela BIOS".

Primeiro, ignorei a mensagem e instalei o CentOs na unidade e ele foi instalado perfeitamente. Mas quando eu reiniciar o servidor, o BIOS não detecta qualquer mídia de inicialização. Eu não sei o que pode ser problema.

Talvez você tenha anexado drives 4Kn?

If the motherboard BIOS is set to 'legacy' mode, then at boot you may see that the 4K VD will be reported by the LSI MegaRAID BIOS, but you will see the '0 are handled by BIOS' message. This indicates that the VD is not being exported to the operating system by the controller, and thus you will not be able to boot from that VD. This is happening because the 'legacy' BIOS setting of the motherboard doesn't understand the 4K sector size. 'Legacy' BIOS supports booting from disk drives with the industry standard 512 byte sector size.

A única solução é alternar para unidades 512e ou para alternar do BIOS para a inicialização via UEFI.
