Configure o tomcat 5.5 stdout e stderr logging

Eu estou tentando configurar o tomcat 5.5 em nosso webapplication para NÃO criar um arquivo de log para cada dia, mas em vez disso, use sempre o mesmo arquivo de log.

Na verdade, no logs/ dir, tenho três tipos de registros:

  • jakarta_service_ [YYYYmmdd] .log
  • stdout_ [YYYYmmdd] .log
  • stderr_ [YYYYmmdd] .log

e eu gostaria que eles fossem:

  • jakarta_service.log
  • stdout.log
  • stderr.log

mas não consigo encontrar onde configurar corretamente isso.
