Como alternativa, siga o comando:

gnome-terminal --title="abvtrm" --geometry 80x10+1366+768

(Aqui eu usei +1366+768 porque da minha resolução de tela é 1366x768).

Se a resolução da tela for (let) n1xn2; então use-o da seguinte forma:

gnome-terminal --title="abvtrm" --geometry 80x10+n1+n2

Isso dará saída da janela aberta em bottom + right !

Para encontrar rapidamente a resolução de tela , execute o seguinte comando:

$ xrandr --current | grep '*'

Isso é devido a um pequeno erro no comando:

gnome-terminal --title="abvtrm" --geometry 80x10-0-0

irá para lá - veja o -0-0

gnome-terminal --title="abvtrm" --geometry 80x10+0+0

irá para o topo - veja o +0+0 .

man X | grep corner
