host_vars não está funcionando em ansible

Eu preciso usar host_vars no meu arquivo ansible para instalar um pacote no host remoto, estou tentando extrair uma variável com o nome package de host_vars dir no qual um arquivo ansi2 reside, que é o nome do host da máquina remota, o nome do meu arquivo yaml principal é service.yml e reside em /etc/ansible ....

   become: yes
   ignore_errors: yes
   gather_facts: no
   tasks:

   - name: install vim
     yum: name={{ package }} state=present

Estrutura Dir:

De acordo com sua saída, o hostname do inventário é ansi2.example.com .
Você deve alterar o nome do arquivo ansi2 para corresponder ao seu nome de host do inventário.
