Eu criei uma nova instância no EC2 da Amazon e estou tentando em wordpress e está falhando devido a php-mbstring :

um tempo atrás e outro ambiente eu tive que executar o seguinte comando primeiro, a fim de obter acesso a php-mbstring :
rhn-channel --add --channel=rhel-x86_64-server-optional-6
Como você faz isso no Amazon EC2?:
Tanto quanto eu posso dizer do manifesto do pacote , a compilação do PHP incluída no RHEL 7 é mínima e muitas extensões estão faltando. Eles não parecem estar em nenhum outro canal também.
Muitas pessoas usam o repositório remi para compilações atualizadas e completas do PHP, e você pode querer fazer isso como bem. Repos estão atualmente disponíveis para o PHP 5.4 e 5.5.
O php-mbstrings está disponível no RHEL7 através do canal rhel-x86_64-server-optional-7.
