Ubuntu: atualizado mainline kernel, agora cai para initramfs

Eu tentei atualizar o kernel principal do nosso sistema e agora estou caindo no initramfs.

Eu pesquisei o tópico e descobri que eu deveria ser capaz de acessar o kernel original através do menu grub, no entanto, tentativas de segurar shift ou ESC não resultam em trazer o menu. Isso pode ser devido a uma porta serial.

Alguns detalhes sobre o sistema, já que o servidor não é uma torre padrão. Trabalhando em um cluster ARM, 16 nós no cluster, somente o acesso aos nós é via porta serial através do chassi, uma porta serial virtual através do gerenciador de chassi e sobre o ssh (quando os nós são realmente capazes de inicializar). O chassi não tem uma porta USB padrão para carregar um disco ao vivo (embora não tenha uma porta miniUSB).

Eu tentei atualizar um único nó, então 15 nós ainda existem no estado de trabalho e posso ver as informações de depuração deles, se necessário. Conectando-se ao nó com falha através de uma porta serial virtual, vejo a seguinte saída na inicialização:

Tenho notado que, enquanto o left shift é mantido durante a seqüência de inicialização, nada muda da saída acima. No entanto, segurar ESC faz com que o sistema tente fazer uma inicialização PXE (que falha como nunca configurei isso).

Eu tenho isso para trabalhar. Um caso muito especializado, mas apenas no caso de ajudar alguém no futuro ...

Os 16 nós são todos cartuchos. Eu removi o cartucho defeituoso tentando acessar diretamente o SSD. Parecia um DIMM (M.2 SSD). Eu me certifiquei de que era seguro remover, depois encontrei um recinto externo na Frys. Conectou-o em uma caixa Linux (importante, o Windows não reconheceu o sistema de arquivos) e teve acesso a todos os dados. Eu fiz backup de tudo, depois copiei tudo, de / boot em um cartucho de trabalho para o não-inicializador. Coloque o SSD de volta no cartucho, ligado, funciona!

Se você esgotou todas as outras opções, tente obter acesso ao disco rígido.

Você poderia montar a unidade quando estiver no shell e editar as configurações do grub para definir o kernel como padrão ou definir o tempo limite?
