Acabei de configurar o servidor OpenVPN com a seguinte configuração:

Eu tenho um ping acima de 500ms no link com latência de 40ms. Eu perdi algo importante com a configuração, ou é uma limitação natural do OpenVPN?

Em ambas as máquinas eu uso o OpenVPN no Linux. O cliente tem o kernel 3.13.0 com OpenVPN 2.3.2 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [eurephia] [MH] [IPv6] e o servidor tem o kernel 2.6.22.19 com OpenVPN 2.3.2 mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [EPOLL] [eurephia] [MH] [IPv6]

O problema provou ser totalmente não relacionado ao OpenVPN, e as configurações postadas do OpenVPN não têm culpa.

A solução no meu caso foi desabilitar um módulo de QoS mal comportado da pilha kernel / ip.

Depois disso, o ping no meu OpenVPN está na ordem de 150ms em um link com ping de 100ms sem o OpenVPN.
