Eu tenho um servidor mysql que eu sou capaz de logar usando senha de root (sem senha) mas por algum motivo eu não consigo conceder acesso a outros usuários para o mysql. Quando eu corro:
mysql> grant all on *.* to 'lel'@'%' identified by '123456';
Eu recebo este erro:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
Eu tentei executar as próximas etapas para corrigir o usuário root:
/etc/init.d/mysqld stop
mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &
mysql -u root
mysql> use mysql;
mysql> update user set password=PASSWORD("newrootpassword") where User='root';
mysql> flush privileges;
mysql> quit
/etc/init.d/mysqld stop
/etc/init.d/mysqld start
Quando eu checo o usuário root no mysql, eu posso ver que ele tem todos os privilégios GRANT relevantes:

Eu fiz tudo o que sei para corrigir esse problema sem reinstalar o mysql, mas sem sucesso ... Acredito que um arquivo foi corrompido ou algo do tipo, senão não consigo imaginar porque me deparei com esses erros. Eu salvei dados mysql em algum disco externo, reinstalei o mysql, copiei os dados e agora ele está funcionando como um encanto. Obrigado pela sua ajuda.
