O teste offline SMART curto nunca termina para todas as unidades de um RAID1

Estou tendo uma situação estranha aqui. Após cerca de três anos em um servidor de baixo tráfego, uma das duas unidades da Samsung em um RAID1 falhou ontem:

Como o smartd não informou nada, verifiquei os atributos inteligentes e a única leitura suspeita que difere em sdb (falha) em comparação com sda é:

Erro no sentido G em um rack de servidor? Talvez o sensor esteja falhando?

Mas há outra leitura descolada em unidades : os últimos testes off-line curtos são "Interrompidos (reinicialização do host)" e se eu iniciar um novo, por exemplo, com smartctl --test=short /dev/sda , o log de autoteste seletivo mostra:

No entanto, este pequeno teste nunca termina, mesmo horas depois, a situação permanece a mesma - em ambas unidades. Isso poderia ser um bug de firmware nas unidades? Ou o controlador está falhando?

Os erros do controlador parecem possíveis aqui. Antes de gastar muito tempo nisso, sugiro que recoloque todos os cabos. É possível que algo tenha se soltado com o tempo e esteja causando problemas.

Além disso, você mencionou o smartd ... você desativou isso ao tentar executar os autotestes? É possível que isso esteja interferindo nos testes manuais.

Havia algo em dmesg sobre o motivo pelo qual o sdb foi considerado com falha? Ambas as unidades parecem estar reportando sua saúde como PASSED, e eu não acredito que o mdadm realmente use qualquer um dos dados SMART para determinar a saúde de uma unidade.
