Como descobrir quem usou toda a RAM (ATUALIZADO)?

Às vezes, descubro que 100% da RAM da minha pequena máquina Debian é usada, mas não consigo descobrir como encontrar esse vazamento: topo mostra que toda a memória é usada, mas posso ' t encontrar qualquer processo que tenha consumido essa memória na listagem de processos (processos classificados pelo campo 'n' -% MEM):

Devo olhar para o campo VIRT em vez de% MEM?

Parece um módulo de kernel cheio de bugs, pois o slabtop consome muita memória. Algo está provavelmente vazando memória no kernel.

idr_layer_cache é uma implementação da árvore radix para o kernel, basicamente pode estar sendo usada por qualquer coisa no kernel.

Pesquisando é sugestivo que isso é algo que normalmente tem a ver com armazenamento, e sendo que outras placas em seu sistema também são relativamente usadas para armazenamento, você pode ver se isso funciona: -

echo 2 >/proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

Isso limpará o cache de sua página (o que, francamente, não é muito), mas isso poderá se a sua sorte for limpar as entradas idr_layer_cache slab. O armazenamento e o cache de páginas quase sempre dominam as placas, de modo que isso não é mais do que um palpite para ver se isso realmente ajuda.

Então, novamente - talvez não. Existe algum módulo do kernel compilado internamente ou um módulo de kernel usado externamente usando essa memória.

Se isso funcionar, você pode tentar atualizar seu kernel, já que o bug pode ter sido resolvido em algum momento no passado (e seus kernels futuros).
