Execute isto no terminal (então reinicialize):

sudo touch /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-managed-devices.conf

Corrigimos um problema semelhante quando atualizei o Ubuntu de 16.04 para 16.10.

Seu dispositivo existe, mas o sistema está se recusando a gerenciá-lo por qualquer motivo.

Para resolver isso, certifique-se de que o arquivo /etc/network/interfaces não contenha uma definição para o seu dispositivo Ethernet. Em um terminal, execute os seguintes comandos:

sudo cp /etc/network/interfaces /etc/network/interfaces.bak
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

Exclua todas as linhas, exceto estas três (a menos que você tenha um muito bom motivo para deixar outras linhas lá):

# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

Em seguida, reinicie o Network Manager reiniciando ou executando o comando abaixo:

sudo service network-manager restart

Como alternativa, você pode ativar o gerenciamento de todas as interfaces pelo Network Manager, mas observe que isso pode causar outros problemas relacionados à rede.

Em /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf , altere qualquer linha que diga managed=false para isso:

managed=true

Certifique-se de reiniciar o NetworkManager reinicializando ou usando o comando acima.
