Eu instalei o Ubuntu 14.04 LTS através de USB inicializável. Quando tento atualizar o Ubuntu usando o comando
sudo apt-get update

restricted / source / Sources está realmente ausente no lado do servidor Tente isso (use sources.gz):
sudo apt-get -o Acquire::CompressionTypes::Order::=gz update
se resolver o problema altere o apt.conf e adicione / altere a linha
