Acabei de comprar um SSD para substituir o HDD no meu laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 3521).
Então eu migrei a partição windows , root do Ubuntu, e fiz uma partição de cache bcache para /home
que permanece no HDD.
O HDD está agora em um HDD caddy dentro do local da unidade de DVD.
Então o problema é que meu HDD (?) começa às vezes para fazer barulho (mas não um clique), como um relógio, mas um pouco mais alto, a cada segundo ou meio segundo, repetidamente e continuamente.
Não só isso é irritante, mas temo pela saúde do HDD .
É particularmente estranho, dado que com a minha nova configuração, o acesso ao HDD é limitado. O que ainda está no disco rígido é /var
partição e uma troca, mas eu tenho 8G de RAM. e a partição bcache /home
do backing.
Eu pensei que poderia ser a cabeça do estacionamento HDD repetidamente. Mas um script simples encontrado na rede não mostra nenhuma mudança no valor Load_Cycle_Count de smartctl -a /dev/sdb

O valor preocupante que continua aumentando é Raw_Read_Error_Rate , mas é dito ser insignificante para o HDD Seagate (aqui ST500LT012 )
Mesmo quando eu alterno para o console e paro lightdm , esse som continua.
Mas se eu executar um auto-teste curto com gsmartcontrol , os sons pararam de repente. O auto-teste curto passou sem erro. Eu corro badblocks na partição /home
backing bcache e nenhum erro foi encontrado.
Eu não sei o que causa esse som. Não parece ser um processo martelando o HDD.
Eu corro apenas cromo e um terminal
