O Dovecot não busca mensagens do Postfix

Eu instalei o Postfix em uma máquina remota que envia e-mails bem como recebe com sucesso. Para se conectar a esse servidor remoto através do cliente de email (Thunderbird) eu instalei o Dovecot. Agora posso me conectar ao servidor remoto através do Thunderbird e até mesmo enviar e-mails, mas não consigo receber nada. Quando verifico meus diretórios do Dovecot para usuários de e-mail virtual, seus diretórios e novos diretórios estão vazios. Você tem alguma ideia do porquê?
