Estou tentando conectar-me ao meu servidor ftp em uma máquina Centos 6 da minha máquina Windows local, mas toda vez que eu tento, recebo um erro '530 Login incorrect'.
Esse problema acontece se eu uso o FileZilla ou se eu conecto usando ftp na linha de comando.

Não é óbvio para mim a partir da configuração em que o arquivo de log é; há uma pasta /etc/log/proftpd/ , mas não há arquivos nela.
Eu posso usar as credenciais que estou tentando usar para conectar e usar com êxito essas credenciais para efetuar login na máquina do Centos.
O que eu poderia estar fazendo de errado? As credenciais do ftp são diferentes das credenciais do usuário?

Eu segui as instruções do Zypher e procurei em var/log/secure e vi isso em vários lugares:

É interessante que as mensagens 'incapaz de dlopen' e 'adicionar módulo defeituoso' sempre aparecessem antes da entrada 'Senha incorreta'. Isso é significativo?
Eu farei algumas pesquisas para ver o que isso pode significar.
