servidor postgres não será iniciado

Eu recebo este erro quando tento iniciar o postgresql:

Use of uninitialized value $logsize in numeric gt (>) at /usr/bin/pg_ctlcluster line 235.

Linha 235 em / usr / bin / pg_ctlcluster

 last if ($currlogsize > $logsize && !check_running_postmaster $pidfile);

Estou usando o linuxmint 12 alguma idéia de como corrigir isso?
