Eu atualizei recentemente para o Ubuntu 13.04, depois de instalar algum programa aleatório do software-center eu recebo o "Operação do pacote falhou" - "A instalação ou remoção de um pacote de software falhou." e parece que tem a ver com o python 3.3. Alguém pode explicar o que é isso tudo (note que o programa aleatório foi instalado)

Se você tiver o Gerenciador de Pacotes Synaptic instalado, abra-o e selecione "quebrado" no lado esquerdo. Desinstale ou reinstale o pacote corrompido.
Eu estava mostrando o libmotif4 como um pacote quebrado. Acontece que eu tinha libmotif3 instalado também e isso estava causando um problema. Eu removi o libmotif3 e reinstalei o 4.
abra seu terminal e digite como
sudo apt-get update
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -a
