Barra de status da tela para exibir o diretório atual para o shell zsh / bash

Question

Eu uso muito a tela GNU com zsh como meu shell. Seria um bom recurso (eu acho) ser capaz de exibir o nome do diretório atual (não o caminho completo) como o título da guia. Eu posso fazer isso com CTRL+A SHIFT+A , mas isso é manual. Eu gostaria que mudasse sempre que eu mudasse de diretório.

Alguém sabe de uma maneira de fazer isso?

Ou você pode simplesmente colocar isso como o título do seu shell, se você apenas precisar que o título da janela seja exibido como o diretório de trabalho atual.
