Estou tendo dificuldades com a instalação do Kubuntu 12.04 que não tem conexão com a Internet. Para construir o driver Ethernet, eu preciso de gcc . Eu instalei a partir do DVD, e eu tenho gcc-4.7-base instalado, mas isso não fornece um executável gcc ? Eu deveria fazer um link simbólico? Como devo instalar gcc de outra forma?

gcc-4.7-base contém apenas os arquivos comuns para todos os idiomas e bibliotecas disponíveis no gcc. Não contém o compilador gcc em si. Se você quiser instalar gcc do CD, insira-o e emita o comando sudo apt-get install build-essential , ele lhe dará gcc e g++ (compilador C ++).
