Depurando o módulo do kernel

Estou desenvolvendo um driver de rede para o Raspbian (kernel versão 4.9.24) em um Raspberry Pi e cada vez que eu carrego meu módulo, ele falha.

Usando os registros em /var/log/messages , consegui dizer qual método falha, mas ainda não consigo saber por que ele falha.

Portanto, o método register_netdevice está falhando, mas não tenho ideia de como saber onde. Além disso, quando eu chamo insmod a Stack é impressa no terminal:

Estou apenas imaginando como depurar isso corretamente, já que nunca trabalhei com Kernel Modules, para obter uma compreensão adequada do que está acontecendo.

EDITAR:

Acho que pode ser útil resolver o símbolo IP no arquivo /var/log/messages , mas não sei como fazê-lo.

A coisa mais simples é adicionar algumas chamadas ao printk para o código e recompilar o módulo. Para obter mais opções de depuração, consulte o capítulo 4, Técnicas de depuração em Drivers de dispositivo do Linux, terceira edição . O livro já é um pouco antigo, mas ainda é relevante.
