Ao tentar descobrir por que meu monitor do sistema está mostrando apenas uma CPU (quando eu deveria ter seis):

Minhas CPUs não são listadas sequencialmente e, em vez disso, são numeradas como 0, 3, 4, 5, 6 e 7.

Por que minhas CPUs não são numeradas sequencialmente? Como posso consertar isso para que eles sejam?

O kernel do Linux atribui um número de CPU para cada CPU listada na tabela APIC da máquina (veja comandos para despejar a tabela da CPU ). A tabela contém um bit "ativado" para cada núcleo. O FX-6100 é realmente fabricado como um processador de 8 núcleos, mas 2 núcleos são desativados pela AMD. 2.html "> Tomshardware diz " Todos os sete processadores FX baseados no Zambeze empregam o mesmo silício. Alguns dos processadores têm um módulo Bulldozer desactivado, e alguns têm dois desligados. " Isso provavelmente é feito quando um núcleo falha no QA - o processador de 8 núcleos pode ter alguns núcleos desativados e ainda ser vendido como uma parte de especificação inferior.

Dois núcleos sendo desativados corresponderiam à sua descrição que os núcleos "0, 3, 4, 5, 6 e 7" são funcionais - os núcleos 1 e 2 estariam presentes, mas desativados na tabela APIC. Eu não tenho um FX-6100 para despejar a mesa e verificar isso com certeza, mas parece uma explicação provável.
