Estou experimentando freqüentes congelamentos no meu Ubuntu 16.04, mas não consigo identificar a causa. Isso acontece geralmente quando estou sentado no computador e não quando está ocioso, por isso deve estar relacionado a uma ação que estou fazendo naquele momento, mas parece acontecer sem motivo aparente.
Eu acho que esse problema pode estar relacionado aos meus drivers gráficos, porque quando isso ocorre minhas telas ficam distorcidas (com listras verticais em cinza - não se parece nada com a tela que eu tinha antes do congelamento). O som é repetido continuamente quando isso acontece. Além disso, meu sistema fica completamente sem resposta e eu não consigo nem Alt + PrScrn + REINIBRAR ele - às vezes até mesmo o botão de reinicialização não trabalho.
Eu pesquisei stackoverflow para problemas semelhantes e foi sugerido que isso pode estar relacionado ao grub, então apliquei o intel_idle.max_cstate=1
fix; infelizmente não funcionou.
Eu também tenho a configuração do kernel radeon.dpm=0
em minha configuração do grub, porque após uma atualização do kernel (~ 6 + meses atrás) minhas telas estavam completamente pretas e isso pareceu corrigir o meu problema. Não acho que esteja relacionado ao problema que estou tendo agora.

Como você pode ver, meus pacotes instalados são todos 12.0.6 e NÃO 17.2.4, o que causa o problema no GUI / Unity travando em 16.04 LTS após as atualizações 2018-01-04, compiz segfaults .
Quanto a O Ubuntu 14.04 possui artefatos visuais e congelamentos Em primeiro lugar, a descrição é muito parecida com o meu problema:
Não estou recebendo artefatos de RAM de vídeo. Tudo está bem, até o congelamento. Vou tirar uma foto da próxima vez que eu pegar um congelamento, porque é difícil de descrever; não se parece em nada com a tela anterior que eu estava exibindo e geralmente é um motivo de listras verticais cinza, algo como . Atualização: eu acabei de congelar, mas o sistema voltou quase imediatamente (após 1-2 segundos) sozinho (eu estava AFK, então não o reiniciei, nem toquei, nem fiz nada). Eu notei que ele congelou porque a música estava tocando no youtube.
