Estou executando o CentOS 5 com um disco rígido PATA. Eu usei o hdparm para ajustar o disco rígido para um melhor desempenho, mas existem duas configurações que não funcionam:
hdparm -M 254 /dev/hda
dá o erro
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD:ACOUSTIC failed: Input/output error
e
hdparm -d1 /dev/hda
dá o erro
HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
O que preciso verificar para defini-las? Já é hardware antigo, então qualquer coisa que eu possa fazer para extrair mais desempenho seria útil.
