Por que o GRUB inicializa o Debian 32-bits ao invés do Ubuntu 64-bits na minha configuração multi-inicializador?

Eu instalei o Ubuntu GNOME Remix 64-bis no meu sistema. Eu configurei o instalador para reutilizar meus /boot e /home . Como a ubiquidade (o instalador do Ubuntu) estava me dando dificuldades para instalar o GRUB eu selecionei "Continue Without a Bootloader" e desde que instalei / montou /boot no meu anterior /boot Eu só tive que fazer update-grub do Debian 32- bits e problema resolvido ... parece fácil, mas não é. O comando update-grub detecta o Ubuntu no meu outro HD:

Mas quando eu seleciono "Ubuntu 13.04" ele inicializa no Debian. Eu verifico as entradas do grub.cfg e vejo que os valores de root e UUID são iguais aos do Debian.

Eu poderia editar a entrada em mãos, mas a multa "NÃO EDITAR ESTE ARQUIVO" que o grub.cfg tem no começo me segurou. Devo editar essas entradas manualmente, criar um script personalizado ou estou apenas condenado?

I set the installer to reuse my /boot

Eu ainda não usei uma configuração de inicialização dupla, mas isso parece ser um erro para mim. update-grub usa grub-probe para determinar em qual dispositivo seu sistema de arquivos raiz atual está localizado e, em seguida, anexa esse dispositivo como o argumento root= à linha linux em /boot/grub/grub.cfg . Esta é provavelmente a razão pela qual sua entrada no Ubuntu está inicializando o Debian - você pode estar usando o kernel e o initramfs do Ubuntu, mas seu grub.cfg instrui para montar sua partição Debian e então continuar a partir desta partição.

Eu tentaria transferir o /boot do Ubuntu para o seu próprio sistema de arquivos raiz (que não deveria ser muito difícil e então você não precisa reparticionar o que provavelmente exigiria a reinstalação do Ubuntu). Em seguida, configure o grub do Debian para carregar o grub do Ubuntu; deve funcionar bem então.

EDIT: pequeno tutorial sobre como configurar o /grub do Ubuntu. Note que estou digitando isso da memória, então seja cuidadoso;)

  1. Sim, mova *3.8* do /grub do Debian para /grub do Ubuntu.
  2. Abra um shell de raiz.
  3. chroot no arquivo do Ubuntu:

    cd /media/braiam/bf554a2f-a035-4c22-bca8-162def35a03c
    for i in proc sys dev; do mount --bind /$i $i; done
    chroot /mnt /bin/bash
    

    Você está agora dentro do sistema Ubuntu (o sistema de arquivos raiz do Ubuntu agora é / , pelo menos neste shell), quase como se você tivesse inicializado.

  4. Se você tem debsums instalado no Ubuntu, agora você pode verificar se há arquivos ausentes (caso tenha esquecido algo na inicialização do Debian), mas isso pode demorar um pouco:

    debsums -s
    
  5. Se você precisar de acesso à Internet no chroot , por exemplo, para reinstalar um pacote danificado, a edição de /etc/resolv.conf dentro do chroot deve resolver o problema. Apenas aponte a linha nameserver para o mesmo servidor DNS que o Debian está usando.

    vim /etc/resolv.conf
    
  6. Execute grub-mkdevicemap . Não tenho certeza se isso é importante, mas provavelmente não vai doer.

  7. OK, tenho que admitir, agora não sei como instalar o grub no /boot do Ubuntu ou se é mesmo necessário. grub-install espera um dispositivo, mas não queremos que ele escreva um MBR ...: /

    Vou ter que analisar isso um pouco mais.

    Eu percebi apenas agora que o seu Ubuntu está de fato vivendo em um disco rígido separado. Basta instalá-lo no MBR deste disco rígido e, em seguida:

    grub-install /dev/sda
    
  8. Atualize o grub e reconstrua o initramfs:

    update-grub
    update-initramfs -u
    
  9. Deixe o chroot :

    exit
    

Você ainda tem que descobrir como dizer ao Debian que ele deve carregar o grub2 MBR que agora está no disco rígido do Ubuntu; Eu não sei se vai descobrir isso por conta própria. Talvez adicione uma seção chainloader a /etc/grub.d/40_custom no sistema de arquivos Debian?
