Tentando instalar o pacote debian npm, faz o apt-get remover o libssl-dev

Eu acho que tenho uma árvore de dependência clara sem pacotes quebrados.

:~/$ sudo apt-get check

No entanto, quando tento instalar o npm , o apt-get quer remover libssl-dev :

Você não está fazendo nada errado: npm depende de node-gyp , que depende de nodejs-dev , que depende libssl1.0-dev , que entra em conflito com libssl-dev . Portanto, atualmente não é possível ter npm e libssl-dev instalados simultaneamente, no Debian unstable; isso é arquivado como bug # 850660 .

Não há muito o que fazer, além de se inscrever no bug para ser informado de qualquer alteração na situação ...

Eu "resolvi" esse problema instalando o nó do nvm. link
