como usar o espaço livre após aumentar o tamanho do disco na estação de trabalho VMWare

Eu tenho o Ubuntu instalado em uma VM executada pelo VMWare Workstation. Consegui aumentar o tamanho do disco via VMWare Workstation para 70Gb (que vejo na linha Disk /dev/sda: 70 GiB ) mas não consigo descobrir como redimensionar a partição para usar este espaço / expandir o sistema de arquivos ( dev/mapper/vagrant--vg-root 35G 31G 2.5G 93% / : this ainda é 35G)

Qual deve ser o próximo passo? (através da linha de comando) Obrigado

Você expandiu o disco, mas ainda precisa expandir a partição e o sistema de arquivos. Aqui está uma maneira de fazer isso:

  1. Inicialize a VM com um ISO de CD ativo.
  2. Executar o GParted.
  3. Expanda / dev / sda2 e / dev / sda5 o tamanho que eles forem.
  4. Aplicar alterações.
  5. Remova o ISO do live CD e reinicie o sistema.

Em vez de usar o GParted, você também pode usar fdisk, pvresize, lvresize e resize2fs (nessa ordem) para redimensionar tudo manualmente.
