Falha ao buscar medibuntu Algo malvado aconteceu resolvendo (-5 - Nenhum endereço associado ao hostname)

Question

Estou usando o linux mint, e enquanto executo apt-get install <some-package> i encontro alguns erros. Os erros de install são:

E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/list/packages.medibuntu.org_dists_quantal_free_i18n_Translation-en
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Eu corro apt-get update e tenho alguns erros. Aqui está o conteúdo do arquivo error gerado pelo comando apt-get update 2> error :

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Alguma ideia de como corrigir esses erros? (bônus - o que os causou?)

O projeto Medibuntu não é mais funcional, os pacotes já foram mesclados com os pacotes principais de repositórios, descartados por serem muito antigos / com bugs ou considerados desnecessários. Não há como corrigir . Basta remover os repositórios de sua source.list para não receber um aviso sobre "Falha ao buscar".
