Problemas com a placa de banda larga móvel sem fio Dell 5570 HSPA +

Tenho um novo Dell Latitude e7440 e um cartão de banda larga móvel Dell Wireless 5570 HSPA +. Não consigo que a placa de banda larga funcione.

Eu posso ver o cartão:

Mas não consigo usar o cartão de maneira alguma.

  • Não há /dev/ttyUSBx para o qual eu poderia inserir comandos AT.
  • Não consigo ver uma conexão de banda larga móvel no gerenciador de rede.
  • ferramentas como mbim-network simplesmente dizem que a conexão com o modem falhou

Minha versão do BIOS da Dell é A10 e, no BIOS, posso ver a placa. Está habilitado e, a partir dessa perspectiva, não deve haver nada de errado com isso. Se eu precisar depurar o driver, estou disposto a tentar, mas preciso de algumas indicações sobre por onde começar. Qualquer ajuda é muito apreciada.

Aqui está minha versão do Linux. Estou executando um kernel modificado devido a um problema de estação de docking multiheading, mas esse problema de modem ocorre de forma idêntica no kernel 3.13, que era o padrão quando eu instalei o Ubuntu 14.04.

Os modems sem fio Sierra da Dell, como o 5570 (comprei um agora) precisam de um comando mágico "DMS Set FCC Auth" para se recuperar do modo de baixo consumo, melhor explicado aqui:

Se você estiver usando o ModemManager, você pode tentar compilar seu um libqmi e o ModemManager do git para corrigir isso.

Você não tem o APN na opção --wds-start-network . Você não precisaria se estivesse em uma rede CDMA / EVDO, mas é (geralmente) necessário um explícito em GSM / UMTS / LTE.

Quando o QMI WDS Start Network retornar sem erros, tente executar dhclient na interface WWAN.
