wvdial: O daemon PPP morreu: Erro no programa Pty (código de saída = 9)

Question

Eu tentei configurar o modem AnyDATA ADU890-WH para funcionar no Linux, mas não consegui. Sou cliente da operadora checa O2 e uso o Ubuntu 14.04.

Uma vez consegui me conectar usando a guia Network Center, Mobile Broadband - mas desde então não consegui.

Este é o meu wvdial.conf :

Também encontrei alguns guias sobre como configurar a conexão sem wvdial - mas esses guias dependem de iniciar a conexão por pon <connection-name> , mas ao usar esse comando, não recebo nenhuma saída e nada acontece.

O modem também suporta rede CDMA, mas o erro ao usar wvdial é o mesmo.

Por alguma tentativa e erro, encontrei a seguinte seção no meu /etc/ppp/options :

Comentando todas as opções refuse-* e require-* , a autenticação (e conexão) foi bem-sucedida.
