Eu preciso colocar o kernel no stab090.5 para evitar alguns exploits, mas não entendo porque o YUM está quebrado.

Eu tenho muitos kernels em / boot / grub?

A solução é remover o pacote vzkernel-firmware:

rpm -e vzkernel-firmware

e exclua-o adicionando a linha marcada em negrito ao arquivo openvz yum repo /etc/yum.repos.d/openvz.repo:
