Eu tive o mesmo problema, isso funcionou algumas vezes, agora isso não acontece, ainda não sei ao certo o porquê.
Acabei de instalar o sistema (Manjaro) e tenho um grande problema: ele diz que meu cabo de rede está desconectado, mesmo que esteja conectado.
Eu tenho um Gigabit Ethernet Realtek RTL-8110SC / 8169SC e, com o Windows, ele funciona sem problemas.
Se eu fizer ifconfig no terminal, obtenho:

O "enp7s1" deve ser meu cartão (reconheço o MAC), mas normalmente não é "eth X "?

Já tentei alterar a interface de "inativo" para "ativo", mas ele permanece inativo sem exibir erros.
Eu tenho o kernel 3.10.1-1-MANJARO (linux310)
Como posso resolver isso?
