Empacotamento Debian com dependência (do zero)

Eu gostaria de empacotar meu software (em C) em um arquivo .deb , mas encontro algumas dificuldades. Seria legal se alguém pudesse me dar uma mão.

Deixe o código-fonte ser o seguinte exemplo de brinquedo:

No programa C acima, a biblioteca liblbfgs será usada. liblbfgs está disponível em repos. Eu escrevi o seguinte Makefile simples:

Se eu instalar a biblioteca via synaptic / apt-get ou compilando manualmente o código-fonte disponível e construindo o código acima, tudo ficará bem. Mas seria muito desejável evitar a instalação do liblbfgs primeiro. Por esse motivo, quero empacotar meu software em um arquivo .deb , no qual devo definir liblbfgs como dependência.

Eu crio uma pasta, digamos toypackage_1.0/ , onde eu armazeno o código fonte e o Makefile. Então eu comprimir este diretório como

tar czvf toypackage_1.0.orig.tar.gz toypackage-1.0/

Em seguida, corro dh_make da seguinte forma

Parece um pouco errado, mas se eu

vejo que o código foi criado corretamente, pois já instalei liblbfgs via apt-get .

Aqui estão minhas perguntas:

  • E se eu não tiver instalado liblbfgs antes? O que devo fazer para conseguir criar meu código corretamente?
  • O que seria um Makefile significativo para meus propósitos? Você poderia me sugerir como alterá-lo usando $DESTDIR$ para que os binários sejam armazenados em /usr/bin/ ?

Para que as ferramentas de criação percebam esse tipo de dependência, você precisa especificá-la no campo Build-Depends do debian/control file .

Seu Makefile precisa ter uma meta install , e essa meta precisa respeitar $DESTDIR (e também $PREFIX se você quiser dar suporte a coisas como o FreeBSD). Um bom install alvo seria semelhante:
