Acabei de atualizar meu PC com outros 32 GB de RAM. Tanto o BIOS quanto o lshw
reconhecem a existência de todos os quatro módulos RAM de 16GB, mas nem free
, top
e htop
visualizam a memória real.

Eu uso o Ubuntu 18.04 que vem com

Eu também instalei o Windows (tm) para diagnosticar o problema. E o Windows 10 de 64 bits também vê apenas 32 GB de RAM. Ele diagnostica os outros 32GB como "hardware reservado", o que aponta strongmente para bug no firmware da placa-mãe.
Eu também confirmei que minha placa-mãe tem a versão mais recente do BIOS (a partir de 7 de setembro de 2018)
