Wifi Think Penguin USB e Debian 9 não funcionarão

2

  • Firmware-atheros instalados
  • Tentei conectar o adaptador em diferentes slots USB (você nunca sabe…)
  • Acenda uma vela esta manhã ...

Da documentação: Adaptador Penguin Wireless N USB para GNU / Linux (TPE-N150USB) Instalação do Firmware Debian

To use Debian 7 (Wheezy) or Debian 8 (Jessie) or Debian 9 (Stretch) with the adapter(s) do the following: You don't need to upgrade your kernel just copy the firmware to your /lib/firmware

Como root:

cd /lib/firmware
wget https://www.thinkpenguin.com/files/ath9k_firmware_free-version/htc_9271.fw
wget https://www.thinkpenguin.com/files/ath9k_firmware_free-version/htc_7010.fw
reboot

Also Note: If you are on Debian 9 (Stretch) and you see a list of access points, but can't connect try this:

sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

Adicione a seguinte linha:

[device]
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=0

Then restart network manager:

sudo service network-manager restart
