Como posso solucionar problemas de banda larga móvel no Debian Jessie?

Eu nunca usei banda larga móvel no Linux antes, então não tenho certeza para onde estou indo.

Às vezes, vejo este pop-up:

Aparentemente, ele foi simplesmente desativado em gnome-control-center power .

Ao alternar esse switch, consegui pressionar connect no Gnome3 ou

sudo nmcli con up <connection name>

Um pequeno feedback da interface do usuário teria sido útil.
