Madwimax: modem conectando mas sem internet

Estou usando o pacote madwimax para conectar um modem USB da Samsung à Internet. Ele funcionou bem antes, em versões anteriores do Ubuntu, mas agora que fiz o upgrade para o Ubuntu 12.10, tive problemas para me conectar. Aqui está o que eu tenho:

Do meu syslog, vejo que o modem se conecta bem à internet:

Quando eu executo o comando madwimax, também não vejo erros:

Embora eu não veja o IP aparecendo aqui. Eu normalmente via a conexão IP aparecer, mas agora só vejo isso no syslog, e isso é confirmado pelo ipconfig:

Se eu conectar este modem USB a outro computador, ele se conectará bem. Alguém tem alguma ideia?

Verifique se o seu gateway de roteamento padrão usa corretamente o gateway do modem. Tente um traceroute, não se queixa de nenhuma rota para hospedar?
