Acontece que o usuário adolfo foi bloqueado por algum motivo misterioso. Eu descobri isso depois que Kusalananda pediu o sshd log, onde encontrei uma linha informando que a conta estava bloqueada. Desbloqueio corrigiu o problema.
Eu adicionei um novo usuário ( adolfo ) para efetuar login por meio do SSH, para que eu possa desativar o login root. Depois de criar o usuário, copiei a chave pública de /root/.ssh/authorized_keys para /home/adolfo/.ssh/authorized_keys porque quero continuar usando a mesma chave. Eu acho que está tudo bem. No entanto, se eu tentar fazer o login com ssh adolfo@<ip-address> , recebo o erro Permission denied (publickey) .
Eu tentei seguir esta responder mas não funcionou. Embora a resposta aconselhe a executar chmod 644 no arquivo authorized_keys , eu também tentei chmod 600 (que foi recomendado em outro lugar). Infelizmente, isso não fez diferença alguma.
