E, até onde eu entendi, as principais etapas são executar wpa_supplicant
e, em seguida, dhclient
A saída de wpa_supplicant
continha:

Então eu executei:
$ sudo iw dev wlp12s0 link

Então:

foi atribuído ou não? Desculpe, não sei como a saída de sucesso parece. De qualquer forma eu não posso pingar qualquer site depois disso. Mas consegui fazer ping de outro PC em minha casa:
