Liguei a opção "Video Capture" no VirtualBox, gravei um vídeo no formato webm, desliguei a máquina virtual e tentei reproduzir este vídeo, mas recebi esse erro no player de vídeo do Totem:

No entanto, o player de vídeo MPV pode reproduzir este vídeo. Isso implica que alguns codecs estão faltando. Decidi instalar o pacote gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad e obtive o seguinte resultado:
