Wifi não está funcionando no Linux Mint

Question

Eu tenho um laptop Dell Latitude E4310 que executou o Ubuntu nos últimos 4 anos (com várias versões). Recentemente eu instalei o Linux Mint (versão 17), e depois o WiFi não está funcionando. Ele estava funcionando perfeitamente no Ubuntu.

O que devo fazer? Existe um driver ou pacote que devo instalar? Aqui está a saída de lspci

Tente conectar-se ao Wi-Fi manualmente por wpa_supplicant e dhclient. Você deve executar os seguintes comandos:

wpa_passphrase ssid password > /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
dhclient wlan0

ssid = seu nome no wifi

Após executar o wpa_supplicant, espere que ele se conecte e mova-o para bg (ctrl + z; bg) ou use outro terminal para executar o dhclient.

Normalmente, esses problemas refletem a indisponibilidade de um driver adequado. Tente abrir driver-manager e veja se alguns drivers adicionais precisam ser instalados.

Se o acima não funcionar, pesquise alguns drivers sem fio em synaptic com palavras-chave como wireless , dell etc.
