Redes sem fio não aparecendo no Debian Wheezy

Esta é a continuação de outro post que foi resolvido agora.

Agora, estou realmente lutando para obter a lista de redes sem fio disponíveis. O Intel 7260 parece estar instalado e detectado corretamente, mas qualquer tentativa de ingressar no ESSID chamado "mar" falha. Eu tentei usar wpa_supplicant (veja mais na descrição da questão).

Observe que posso obter uma lista de redes usando iwlist scan , mas Nenhum resultado usando wpa_cli list_networks (veja adiante). O que não faz muito sentido para mim, pois tudo isso é muito novo para mim.

Mas ainda não sei ao certo por que list_networks não retorna nenhum resultado (?) Eu devo estar interpretando mal o uso.
