Como criar um liveCD debian personalizado (personalizar quais pacotes são pré-instalados)?

Como eu faria isso? Eu tentei o simple-cdd, mas não funcionou:

Eu usei remastersys e funcionou muito bem para os sistemas debian suportados, como mostrado em sua homepage.
