Atualmente estou executando o Mint 14 neste computador, mas também aconteceu anteriormente com o Fedora 16, então estou achando que é um problema geral com meus drivers.
A exibição não será iniciada após o laptop hibernar. Se eu fechar a tampa, ele mostrará apenas um display nevado estranho do qual eu preciso reiniciar, se eu não fechar a tampa, ele mostrará alguns erros e me levará ao console onde eu posso reinicializar.
Os arquivos de log são bem grandes, mas eu retirei os bits que pareciam fornecer as informações mais vitais. Parece mais provável que seja um problema de driver e eu estive em link para ter uma caçada por aí, mas não é realmente algo que eu conheço .

Ele também tenta carregar os módulos nv e nvidia algumas vezes, mas falha a cada vez, porque os módulos não existem, então estou achando que precisarei instalar os módulos. Parece que eventualmente usa o módulo nouveau
