As atualizações do kernel não serão instaladas - partição de inicialização completa

Estou executando 14.04 LTS.

As atualizações do kernel não serão instaladas nem desinstaladas. O espaço de inicialização (aproximadamente 240 MB) está agora cheio e usando o sudo apt-get autoremove , autoclean , clean ou remove não funcionará.

Tudo isso começou com a atualização do kernel 3.13.0-47.

Nenhum espaço é liberado e surge o seguinte ...

Como isso pode ser corrigido sem fazer uma reinstalação? Eu tentei redimensionar a área de inicialização e GParted não vai me deixar.

Eu tive o mesmo problema. Depois de fazer o df -h, vi que meu /boot estava quase cheio. Eu passei por este guia para desinstalar o antigo versões do Ubuntu. Agora a atualização funciona bem. É um pouco estranho, porque normalmente eu recebo um erro dizendo que /boot está quase cheio em vez de uma mensagem de falha não descritiva.
