imagem escura no Skype, mas sem um problema em outros aplicativos

Acabei de me mudar para a família Linux. Eu instalei o Elementary OS 64bit (baseado no Ubuntu).

Eu tento configurar o meu Skype, mas a imagem do vídeo é muito escura. Está funcionando, mas é baixo em contraste.

Eu baixei o Cheese e a imagem é ótima.

Eu baixei o Guvcview e a imagem também é ótima. Mas, quando eu executo o guvcview, eu tenho muitos erros no terminal.

O estranho é que quando eu tenho guvcview aberto com a grande imagem e abra a pré-visualização da câmera do Skype, então a imagem do primeiro fica mais escura também.
