Problema ao atualizar o Ubuntu para a versão 18.04

Estou tentando atualizar minha instalação do Ubuntu para a versão 18.04 de 16.04

Não me foi oferecida nenhuma atualização com a atualização do software, então tentei fazê-lo usando linhas de comando e segui este conjunto de comandos: link

Mas estou recebendo a mensagem de que não há upgrade:

Qual é o problema e como posso corrigi-lo?

O laptop que estou usando é relativamente um laptop antigo com memória RAM 3G.

Isso porque a versão lançada atualmente é 18.04.0. Para usuários LTS¹ existentes, a atualização fica disponível automaticamente a partir de 18.04.01.

Se você insistir em fazer upgrade agora, sinta-se à vontade para usar:

do-release-upgrade --devel-release

(eu não atualizei: eu gosto que outras pessoas tenham problemas e depure a versão 0 para mim) >: -)
