Não faz o ping com o nome do host e não pode ssh usando o hostname [duplicate]

Eu configurei um servidor DNS em Centos6.5 e seu trabalho com todas as máquinas clientes que não o Ubuntu, agora eu tenho problema com o Ubuntu Enquanto eu estou tentando ping da máquina desktop para o servidor DNS como ping masterdns.arrivu.local eu não posso ping seu retorno o como

sysadmin@localhost:~$ ping masterdns.arrivu.local
ping: unknown host masterdns.arrivu.local

Mas enquanto eu estou ping com o endereço IP está funcionando

Mesmo eu verifiquei usando o host seu retorno do IP

Meu problema é que eu quero ping e ssh usando o nome do host em vez de ip como abaixo

ping masterdns.arrivu.local ssh [email protected]

IM usando a máquina desktop com o Ubuntu

Não há iptables implantados em máquinas desktop ou o que estou usando como servidor DNS também
